Before I forget, Palawaño's main language is Tagalog. I never realized that speaking Tagalog again would be so much fun on this trip. "Hindi matukoy ang lokasyon". "Ano ba ito, ba't may kalayo ang ilalim"? Hahahahaahah!!!!
City tour wasn't part of our accommodation so we took a public multi-cab from San Jose to bayan. Transportation here is quite expensive. According to Yong, the reason why they don't have taxi is because the Mayor don't want to bring competition to their local tricycle or multi-cab drivers who've been on the job even before Palawan was recognized. But don't patronize these drivers just yet. Just like any other drivers elsewhere, they will charge you big time if they'll know you're not from the city. Good thing me and my friends are already used to that old trick.

When we were still on our Honda Bay tour the previous day, we saw a huge mountain rock forming like a cathedral from afar. We finally saw it up close on the second day. The mountain is not made up of soil, but of limestone. One would need to a wear a knee cap if you're planning to go on trecking. Pictures below will show you the far view and the up close view of these mountains.
Some parts of the island don't have electricity. Only the fortunate souls have their own power generators.

What I've noticed in this part of the country are the wood carvings of humanoid forms made by natives and jewelries made of pearls (pure from China Sea). They're all best for souvenirs and business. If only we booked our plane ticket with baggage included, this would not have been a problem. I would have bought the large Tiki Idol and Rain Maker as a decoration for my home in GenSan. Oh well, maybe next time.
