Taking pictures of pregnant women was never on my list of interests in photography.... not until I see them everyday. No kidding.
I remember my ex-mentor used to chase me around the office when she was pregnant every time her baby started to kick. I was finally convinced ONCE to touch her belly and felt it moved; and while every body's eyes were filled with joy after feeling the unborn baby's movement, my mind was clouded with alien invasion that's going to start inside her. Yes, an alien. I repeat, an alien. (It's not that my mentor looked like an alien when she was pregnant.. or maybe yes). xD
Anyway, this photo was taken unplanned right after Gretel's shift. I've seen quite a few pictures of maternity photography and this pose was not my idea of shooting it. But now that I'm looking at it, I realized that at least I have one photo of her, after all the plans and preparations for the shoot. She never ran out of excuses of not showing up. I can't blame her. I wanted her naked, that's why.
So ladies and gentlemen, even gays and lezzies... if you know what I mean, you know where to find me. (I think I'm gonna regret saying that last statement).
If I try to compare my fireworks shots from 6 months ago and today, I would say the only thing that improved are my image boarder and watermark. Pity. xD
Lomographer's (let's say) motto: "speak in photos and know no boundaries in our mission to snapshot every corner of the world".
I'm not an intellectual - I just take pictures.
