Tips to avoid blurry shots using Digital SLR with Manual Settings:
1. OOF or OUT OF FOCUS. Use auto focus if necessary but I heard kit lens sometimes have issues with AF. Lately, I've been practicing MF. Sometimes AF didn't choose the right part of the picture to focus.
2. CAMERA SHAKE. Either use a tripod or hold your position (and breathe) for a longer period of time. This is very very applicable to long time exposure shots like night shots.
3. MOTION BLUR. This is where moving subjects take place. Experimenting with the shutter speed will do the trick.
Don't delete the shots that you consider mistakes right there and then. You'll learn from them. Share your photos with your other hobbyist friends. Be open to comments and critics.
